Perverse Patriotism

I just ran across this while browsing around the web. I must say, glorifying war and death and all in the name of "country" really flabbergasts me. How can people think this way seriously? Although that damned Toby Keith song about "stick a boot up their ass, it's the american way" was insanely popular, too. I just don't get it.
